2009 “Passive Solar Architecture Pocket Reference”

The 2009 Passive Solar Architecture Pocket Reference was made available by the International Solar Energy Society. This handy guide contains basic technical information from the definitions to the specific functions of passive solar architecture. David Wright, AIA, contributed the definition and graphics for “mean radiant temperature,” page 33 as well as his book The Passive Solar Primer included in the helpful bibliography. It is available through the International Solar Energy Society.

2008 Passive Solar Pioneer Award

David was presented with the 2008 Passive Solar Pioneer Award by the American Solar Energy Society in San Diego recently. This annual award is “presented to a person who’s creative and original thinking and research has led to new developments in the passive solar energy field”. It is an international award and David is very proud to be a true “pioneer.”
